Bring the classroom to life with an unforgettable day of discovery at Irukandji Shark & Ray Encounters: an interactive, educational, and conservation-focused aquarium right in the heart of Anna Bay, Port Stephens. Tours have been mindfully created to spark curiosity, build confidence and create real connections with the marine world.
Guided by passionate and knowledgeable aquarists, students are invited to meet and feed curious and friendly animals that are often misrepresented and misunderstood, such as Sharks & Rays. At Irukandji, students explore conservation and sustainability concepts, leaving inspired, informed and ready to protect our oceans for future generations. Every visit combines interaction and excitement, as students learn all about the animals while sharing the water with them.
With several tour options available, ranging from ankle-deep Shallows Encounters to immersive snorkelling tours with our Zebra Sharks (12yrs+), a visit to Irukandji is a one-of-a-kind experience that you won’t find anywhere else in the country.
