Kindilan was formerly operated by PGL Adventure Camps, with The Great Aussie Bush Camp taking over the business in late 2025. It’s the same great experience, just with a new name.

Just 40 minutes from Brisbane and an hour from the Gold Coast, Kindilan is set across 220 acres of beautiful bushland in Redland Bay. Zoned as a Conservation Area in South East Queensland, camp feels like a true escape into nature, with wide open spaces, native bush and wildlife all around.
Adventure is spread right across camp, with activities woven through the bush and around the lake. Groups can soar across the water on the flying fox, test their bravery on the abseil tower, or work together on the lake through raft building and canoeing. Add in archery, team challenges and plenty of sunshine, and every day delivers action-packed outdoor fun.
With bushland in every direction, camp gives groups the chance to disconnect, push themselves and enjoy life outside. When it’s time to relax, Kindilan offers a range of cosy accommodation options, from unique roundhouses and lodges to platform tent villages where groups can sleep under the stars.

PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES
At Kindilan, adventure is built into everyday camp life. Programs are shaped to suit your group, with a strong focus on building confidence, independence, leadership and connection through shared outdoor challenges. There is also plenty of chances for students to support one another and celebrate shared success.
Challenges range from high-energy teamwork tasks to individual moments of courage. Jacob’s Ladder demands communication and trust as teams climb a suspended ladder that spreads wider with every step, while crate stacking pushes bravery and problem-solving as groups work together to reach new heights.
For students who love a vertical challenge, rock climbing and abseiling reward focus and determination, while low ropes tests concentration and control. With such a broad mix of experiences on offer, every student can get involved, try something new and walk away proud of what they have achieved.
Roundhouses – Aminya & Loomai
The Aminya and Loomai Roundhouses offer a unique camp experience, with their circular design creating a fun and memorable place to stay. Set slightly apart and surrounded by bushland, they feel peaceful and connected to nature while still being close to the heart of camp.
Students stay in dormitory-style rooms, with teachers and group leaders accommodated in separate rooms within the same roundhouse, making supervision easy while still allowing space to unwind. Amenities are in the middle of the roundhouse, keeping everything central and convenient.

Koombanda Lodge (Main Lodge)
Koombanda Lodge provides classic lodge-style accommodation right in the heart of camp. Dormitory-style bunk rooms are paired with amenities located within the same building, making day-to-day camp life simple and efficient for groups.
The lodge is beside the main halls for meals times and the seminar room, making it a great option for groups who want easy access to communal spaces, meals and indoor activities.

Trefoil House
Trefoil House is a self-contained accommodation option that offers groups extra space and privacy. Set away from the main camp buildings, it provides a quieter environment while still keeping everything needed close at hand.
Rooms include ensuite bathrooms connected to each sleeping space, and teachers and leaders are accommodated within the same house. A large shared living area and kitchen make Trefoil House ideal for groups wanting to relax together between activities.

Brownie Cottage
Brownie Cottage is a charming Queenslander-style building that keeps smaller groups close and connected. With its wide verandah and classic design, it offers a relaxed and welcoming place to call home during camp. Each room has wall or ceiling fans to keep everyone cool and comfortable.
The cottage includes a large shared dining and lounge area with kitchenette. Bathrooms are located just outside at the end of the verandah, and the cottage’s location away from the main building provides added privacy.

Kinta House
Kinta House is a comfortable, self-contained accommodation option set away from the main camp area. Dormitory-style rooms are supported by showers and toilets located within the house, with wall or ceiling fans in each room to keep everyone cool and comfortable.
A large open lounge area, kitchen and verandah provide plenty of space to relax, reflect and recharge after busy days outdoors. It is a great choice for groups who enjoy having their own shared space.

Platform Tent Village – Kubbi
The Kubbi Platform Tent Village is a favourite for groups wanting a true camping experience without the hassle of pitching tents. Set in bushland and just a short walk from the main camp buildings, it feels wonderfully secluded while still being close to facilities.
Permanent platform tents are arranged around a central fire pit, creating a great space for evening reflection, songs and winding down after adventurous days (subject to fire restrictions). Toilet and shower blocks are located nearby, with separate facilities for teachers and group leaders.

Facilities and services
Kindilan offers a great mix of practical facilities and wide-open outdoor spaces, giving groups everything they need for a smooth, enjoyable and adventure-filled camp. Dining – food and dietaries
At The Great Aussie Bush Camp, we serve fresh, tasty and nutritious meals every day to fuel big adventures. Our food supports healthy activity in the outdoors and encourages well balanced eating, with a range of meals that are both nourishing and appealing to children’s palates.
We provide three meals every day, always including a vegetarian option, with generous portions of fruit, vegetables and salad, and plenty of carbohydrate for energy. Our lunch and dinner options always include a salad bar, where students can have unlimited access to fill up on nutritious goodies!
We take dietary needs seriously, catering to coeliac, vegetarian, halal, lactose intolerance, and severe allergies. If you have specific dietary requirements, please coordinate with your school or give us a call to discuss the options.
