Just outside Sydney and two hours from Canberra, Camp Wombaroo sits in the heart of the stunning Southern Highlands. Spanning 100 acres of lightly wooded land, camp is surrounded by open paddocks, native bushland, and that unmistakable fresh country air. Once a working farm, it’s now a lively outdoor education hub where students learn, grow, and make lasting memories.
This picturesque site offers endless opportunities for exploration and growth, all in one convenient location. From high ropes among the gums, to campfires under a sky full of stars, Camp Wombaroo gives students a true taste of the Aussie outdoors while learning skills that impact them for life.
Whether you’re visiting for a single day or diving into a three or five-day program, you’ll find a camp that’s packed with variety, laughter, and learning. With comfortable cabin accommodation and plenty of space to roam, Wombaroo is designed to help every participant unplug, stretch beyond their comfort zone and reconnect with friends – all while having an absolute blast doing it.


PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES
Camp Wombaroo’s program lineup is all about teamwork, courage, and having a go. With 10 adventure-packed activities, and 3 more on the way, there’s no shortage of excitement or opportunities to push yourself.
Test your bravery on the giant swing, tackle the high ropes, and put your teamwork to the test with canoeing, raft building, and more. Every activity is designed to challenge students in fun, safe, and rewarding ways.
Every school has its own goals, so we create custom programs to match your learning outcomes. We also offer dedicated syllabus programs like Life Ready and Anti-bullying. Whether participants are building confidence, conquering heights, or sharpening life skills, our expert instructors have you covered.
ACCOMMODATION
Camp Wombaroo accommodates up to 150 people across three separate cabin groupings, making it easy to host groups of any size. Our clean, comfortable, and well-maintained accommodations create the perfect home base after a big day of adventure. Each cabin area forms its own little camp community, offering warmth, space to connect, and a true sense of togetherness. From dormitory-style cabins to private teacher accommodation, there’s a spot for everyone to relax and recharge.
Cabins
Camp Wombaroo’s dormitory-style cabins are designed for comfort and easy access to all the fun. Each building houses multi-bed rooms with separate shared male and female toilets and showers, all conveniently located within the same building.
Our cabins feature:

- Heating for year-round comfort
- Close to teacher/leader accommodation
Teacher and leader cabins
Our teacher and leader cabins offer comfort and convenience right where you need it — close to student areas for easy supervision, but with the privacy of your own space. Each twin-share cabin includes a private ensuite, so you can settle in, freshen up, and relax after a big day outdoors.

Dining – food and dietaries
At The Great Aussie Bush Camp, we serve fresh, tasty, and nutritious meals daily to keep you energised for all your adventures.
Our menu covers a wide range of tastes, offering meals like hamburgers, spaghetti Bolognese, and BBQs with sausages and salad. Breakfast serves up hot and cold options, from pancakes and scrambled eggs to spaghetti and cereals. Fresh fruit and drinks are always on hand to keep you fuelled and hydrated.
We take dietary needs seriously, catering to coeliac, vegetarian, halal, lactose intolerance, and severe allergies. If you have specific dietary requirements, please coordinate with your school or give us a call to discuss the options. We are allergy-aware, with a HACCP-controlled kitchen and regular health inspections to ensure safety for everyone.
